The inner challenge for us all in 2026 (2 + 0 + 2 + 6) = 10/ 1, is to emerge from the loneliness of our potential (0), to find the courage to stand alone as pioneers (1), able to lead others, while remaining true to our authentic nature, ensuring new leadership emerges that benefits all.
This inner challenge may manifest externally as 28/ 10/ 1 (20 + 2 + 6), in numerology this represents a massive re-evaluation (8), born of emotion (20). Courage is needed to break through on our own terms. The attitude ‘Who Dares Wins’ may help …
This year is also driven by of 26/ 8 energy, in numerology this represents ‘Lord Karma’. The 8 constantly moving back and forth, destroying and rebuilding, bringing everything to the surface to be looked at in the cold light of day. This energy encourages us to take responsibility (6) for others (particularly future generations), as we take actions to align our inner and outer worlds and try to find balance in amongst constant movement. Again, this energy is born of emotion (20).
These challenges for the year 2026, potentially culminate in the intense 10/ 1 & 8 energies generated by the summer months.
Together, as we increasingly witness more being brought to the surface to be looked at in the cold light of day. We have the potential to see more clearly patterns emerging, that have been perpetuated over many generations. By together making more informed decisions moving forward, these patterns can be changed and new leadership can emerge, taking us all into new territory.
In the background, in the heat of summer, the 1 energy that is so prevalent this year, also represents the masculine fire element, while the 20 behind so many of the numbers, represents the divine feminine, the miracle of birth, as well as the water element.
Overall, Summer for many also represents warmth and freedom, with endless possibilities.
The first letter of a word is important, especially if the first letter is sounded when the word is spoken. This applies to the months June, July and August, as well as the season that contains them, summer. They all start with the number 1, and represent different pioneering qualities of leadership, as well as an unstoppable generator.
The first vowel in a word is also important, especially if this letter is sounded when this word is spoken. Vowels represent potential Soul qualities emerging, and for each of the three months of summer, as well as the season summer the first vowel is ’U’, (‘August’ has two ‘U’s).
The letter ‘U’ is the 21st letter of the alphabet, and the soul qualities of 21/ 3 include a completely positive karma of success and material expansion, and an aura of protection. (Summer. always breaks through with the greatest light, warmth and colour of the year and can be seen as an example of this) …
The letter ‘U’ in Numerology also represents a cup to receive the light, a cup that is completely open and receptive. In terms of nature this can be seen as allowing plants to completely absorb light and warmth, (we just have to provide the water, so they can bloom).
Tarot comes from Numerology, and the images on the first 22 cards of the major arcana, represent the potential journey of the Soul, as consciousness evolves.
The 21st card in Tarot, is ‘The World’ and represents the ultimate movement of spirit into matter and the fusion of lighted truth, with eternal wisdom.
The first two months of summer (June and July) start with the 10th letter ‘J’. This represents an ambitious leader operating, in quiet/subtle ways. The pioneer (1), re-emerging from the potential (0), to find the courage to stand alone as a pioneer and a leader (10/ 1),
June and July, both have an overall self-expression (OSE) 14/ 5. This represents the messenger, breaking out to find the freedom (5) to express and create new structures (4).
This correlates to the months of June and July, in the UK garden, being the time to plant out tender summer bedding and vegetables, as well as the start of a routine of daily watering.
The warm soil, long daylight hours and daily watering, helps plants to emerge from the seeds in the earth (that represent potential), to grow independently.
The 14th card in the Tarot’s major arcana represents ‘Temperance – finding the essence through balance’. The image is of a female figure pouring liquid from a silver vase into a golden vase, without a drop being spilt. This concentrated effort, results in every drop going to exactly where it is supposed to go, a controlled movement with nothing wasted.
The liquid represents water, the essence of life, the silver vase representing personality and the golden vase representing Soul. The image represents the self-concern of the personality being left behind, so the essence of the work can be poured into the golden vase of Soul, getting rid of everything that is not essential, so as to be totally receptive to Soul.
The Summer months can be interpreted as representing these qualities in nature, as this concentrated effort, within the structure of the 3 months of Summer, provide the peak of light, warmth and colour for the whole year, helping us all to be more receptive to Soul, before autumn and winter arrive.
OSE 14/ 5 for the word ’June’, can be interpreted as new beginnings (1) and freedom (5) to create new structures from the earth (4). This results from the movement of the 8, constantly reworking perfection, and in the process bringing everything to the surface to be looked at in the light of day, destroying and rebuilding, ultimately finding balance (8). The 6 also striving for perfection and taking responsibility (6), the cup open and receptive to spirit (or light). June, the month with the longest day of the year for the Northern Hemisphere and traditionally the peak growing season in the UK.
July in the UK garden, is traditionally about harvesting and sowing seeds for autumn.
OSE 14/ 5 for the word ’July’, can be interpreted as new beginnings (1) and freedom (5) resulting in solid new structures (4) that can now stand alone, acting independently (1) as leaders and pioneers (10/ 1).
In August, UK gardens are traditionally at their peak with the focus on daily harvesting and heavy watering.
The letter ‘A’ is a vowel (Soul quality) as well as the 1st letter and represents 1 energy in its purest form. ‘The Dynamic Leader’ and unstoppable generator, focussed on breaking out of the potential. Ambitious, adventurous, assertive and progressive, with strong will power, potentially taking us all into new territory.
The Soul qualities of this dynamic leadership, combined with the receptive qualities of the two U’s (2 x 3), as well as a 10/ 1 Personality No. for August, encourage the soul qualities of spirit (7) to be made visible in August, as colour, blossoms and harvests reach their peak for the year. This can be viewed as an example of leadership that potentially benefits and inspires us all, before autumn and winter arrive …
‘Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished’. Lao Tzu
The first letter of the overall season of summer, is the letter ‘S’. This is the 19th letter and represents the more ‘Emotional Leader’, ambitious and creative, with dynamic flashes of insight, but clear thinking may be affected by the depth of feelings.
19/ 10/ 1 in numerology represents a struggle to be independent and self-confident, as the 9 and 1 energies can pull us in different directions. The 9 wanting to help all of humanity, the 1 focussed on survival of self. Overall, 19/ 10/ 1 encourages the correct use of power, as we potentially learn to follow the leadership of the Soul.
The 19th card in Tarot, is represented by ‘The Sun’ penetrating into the heart of matter, leaving nothing hidden. Ultimately 19/ 10/ 1 represents the correct use of power, as the selfless leader potentially emerges, following the leadership of their Soul, so as to benefit everyone
In the context of this year, with the inner work of 10/ 1 for us all, there is the potential for selfless leadership to be demanded and to emerge.
For this to happen in summer, the Soul Urge or motivation (8) of the word is constantly reworking perfection, and in the process bringing everything to the surface to be looked at in the light of day, destroying and rebuilding, so as to ultimately find balance (8).
This manifests in nature in colour, blossoms and harvests, in the wider world, the potential for selfless leaders to emerge.
The Personality no. for summer 18/ 9, represents great endurance, serving out of love, as the 8 in this position, influences the will (1) and constantly re-evaluates how best to help humanity (9).
It’s no coincidence that 18/ 9 is also the OSE for the word ‘love’, as love is the most powerful force on this planet and the energy that holds everything together. Love is also the only way we get off the wheel of karma, changing patterns of behaviour instead of reinforcing them.
Overall, 88 16/ 7 can also be seen (in first column) resulting from the word ‘summer’. This represents the unstoppable generator, tirelessly moving back and forth, destroying and rebuilding, continually returning to ‘square one’ to refine and adjust resources, to yield the best possible outcome for all.
Overall, 89/ 17/ 8, is also hidden vertically (in second column), this encourages us to be pushed into new experiences, that reveal some level of universal truth.
This is also reflected in OSE 26/ 17/ 8. The 26 represents ‘Lord Karma’ and encourages us to take responsibility (6) for our actions, 17/ 8 allowing spirit (7) to influence our will (1).
The inner challenges we all share in 2026 (28/ 10/ 1 & 26/ 8) potentially culminate in the intense 10/ 1 & 8 energy generated over these summer months. We have a great opportunity here to change patterns perpetuated over many generations and for new leadership to emerge.
The word ‘Hope’ with first letter ‘H’ the 8th letter, encourages great leadership potential and a strong desire to advance. This is accentuated by OSE 26/ 8, resulting from Soul Urge or motivation (11/ 2) and personality 15/ 6. By making time to reflect and become inspired (11/ 2), we can potentially make more responsible choices and take actions that helps the planet as well as ourselves (15/ 6 and 26/ 8).
The words ‘hope’ and ‘love’ help us to be more open and receptive to spirit (11/ 2),
taking action to help others, with greater endurance.
In the background, the Soul Urge or motivation behind in these words (11/ 2) reduces to the 2 energy.
The 1 energy that represents the masculine fire element that is so prevalent this year, is relatively temporary. Long term (in less than 100 years), everyone on this planet will have a 2 in their chart, (as everyone will be born in a year 2… )
Whereas 1 energy must lead from the front, focussed on one goal and one way of doing things. Bursting with ambitious energy, the 1 energy is represented by the fire element. This consumes and destroys but ultimately purifies. The number 2 comes from the number 1 and represents the next phase of the journey out of the infinite.
The 2 energy represents the element water, which is the essence of life, as well as the divine feminine and the miracle of birth. Water can be still, peaceful and reflective, but it also makes waves and tsunamis, ultimately moving mountains, cleansing as it moves. The 2 works behind the scenes as the peacemaker, the diplomat and facilitator, constantly aware of duality. (With 2 energy we have separation for the first time and the potential to see both sides of a situation).
Currently anyone aged up to 26 will have at least one 2 in their chart, these consumers, parents, workers etc are growing in influence. They are more observant, aware of polarities and sensitive to the impact of their behaviours on others. Unlike the ‘1 generation’, their sensitivity is a growing strength that initiates their behaviours and actions, rather than stopping them from doing things. These natural networkers operate in more subtle ways, wanting to take everyone with them. They are the leaders for the new age, which will be led by the 2 energy and they are ultimately learning to build with love. They are emerging and finding the courage to change patterns of behaviour instead of reinforcing them and they are finding their voice.
Globally we may be seeing the last vestiges of the 1 energy fighting for the old ‘1 order’ to be restored. They have benefited from ‘how things were always done before’ and have a lot to lose. It may feel as though everything is becoming more polarised, the dark becoming darker, the light becoming lighter. If we look at events globally, we may feel powerless, but when we look locally and there’s lots, we can do that will make a difference.
If each of us can find the courage to stand alone as pioneers (1) within our families, able to lead by example, while remaining true to our authentic nature, we will be feeding the light not the dark. We can be an example to future generations, and we will help to ensure new leadership emerges, that benefits all. Working in this way nothing will be wasted.
While a summer of love would be a great idea. Witnessing drama unfolding on a global scale, while focusing on local actions, with hope in our hearts, is more practical and less dangerous.
“Hope Floats” and can sustain us. No matter how difficult or sinking our circumstances get, it is important we remain optimistic, flexible and resilient. Ideally returning to nature whenever possible, for inspiration and to feel restored.
